National Championships

The most recent CBC Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! Annual National Championship Event was held in conjunction with the tenth annual Tim Hortons Hockey Day in Canada celebration on January 29-30, 2010 on CBC TV.

The downtown streets of Victoria, BC were the host location of this tournament. The event was covered live by CBC as well as two Australian television networks. Featuring both men's and women's championships for the first time, a total of 30 teams competed for the Redwood Cup and the title of "Canada's Greatest Street Hockey Players" - as recognized during Hockey Night in Canada. The Men's Champions were also awarded a $10,000 Cash Prize.
